The Gifford Arboretum is located on the Northwest corner of the University of Miami's Coral Gables campus where San Amaro Drive meets Campo Sano Avenue. The entrance is on San Amaro Drive, just south to the small traffic circle where San Amaro meets Campo Sano. The Arboretum is open to the public free of charge 7 days a week. Please use metered parking at all times before 11 PM and pay for your parking to avoid being ticketed.
Driving from areas south of Coral Gables
Take the Florida Turnpike N until it merges into 874 N. Take the 874 N until you see the 878 South Miami sign and follow the 878 South Miami (you will be going E) for a few miles. The 878 will come to an end in which it will merge into US1 (S. Dixie Hwy). Take a left onto US1 and drive until you reach SW 57th Ave (Red Road). Take a left onto SW 57th Ave and drive until you reach SW 56th St (Miller Drive). Take a right onto Miller Drive and drive until it ends, merging into San Amaro Drive. Take a left onto San Amaro Drive and Robbia Avenue is approximately 1/4 mile once you turn onto San Amaro. Look for the Gifford Arboretum sign on the right side of the road.
Driving from areas north of Coral Gables
Take I-95 S until it merges into US1 and follow US1 (going south) until you reach SW 57th Ave (Red Road). Take a right onto SW 57th Ave and drive until you reach SW 56th St (Miller Drive). Take a right onto Miller Drive and drive until it ends, merging into San Amaro Drive. Take a left onto San Amaro Drive and Robbia Avenue is approximately 1/4 mile once you turn onto San Amaro.
